Naples, Pompeii, Rome- Italy

After seeing my mom off to her flight, I was off to Italy!

First stop after a long day of traveling: Naples, Italy.

After seeing Naples, we took a short train ride to tour Pompeii, the small Roman Empire that was destroyed by the eruption of the volcano, Mount Vesuvius. Although I didn't remember many details from when I learned about the event in school, it was probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen.  We were able to walk through the entire village and see all of the ruins.

After Naples and Pompeii we were off to Rome, Italy.  We were able to see the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Vatican along with many other popular tourist attractions.  We only missed the Pope by one day!

And this concludes my Semana Santa travels... I can't believe I only have two months left in Spain.  Time is flying to quickly!  I'm not sure where my next stop will be, but I will be sure to keep everyone updated!!

Thank you everyone for continuing to read my posts and contacting me when possible.  It really means a lot and I miss you all!!
